Business Blazers is a 501(c)(3) located in Clayton County, GA, a suburb of the metropolitan Atlanta area. The organization was founded in 2024 by Dr. Terica Pearson in Riverdale, GA. Business Blazer’s goal is to foster an environment where minorities and low-to-moderate income entrepreneurs in Clayton County, GA can receive comprehensive training and resources, cultivating their business skills to achieve entrepreneurial success. Through repeated failures in starting a business, many entrepreneurs have lost faith in the possibilities that await them if they are successful in business planning and implementation. To revive this hope, entrepreneurs need to be in an innovative and creative learning environment that promotes learning, guidance, support, and empowerment to thrive as an entrepreneur.
Business Blazers’ programs are in direct response to the growing number of entrepreneurs that are lost at the startup phase or failure to survive during their first year of operation. The goal of the organization is to identify those individuals and offer a positive support system to avoid the pitfalls that can derail business success. The services will include, but are not limited to, leadership development, organizational development, financial literacy and mentoring.
Key Milestones
Since inception, the organization implemented several workshops that focused on organizational management, branding and marketing, leadership development, and tax implications for legal structures. A major accomplishment of the workshops has been in helping minorities and low-to-moderate income entrepreneurs gain knowledge and skills to have successful businesses.
BB is well-positioned to tackle the issue of providing entrepreneurs with a myriad of programs that will positively impact their business journey. With additional funding, strategic partnerships, and resources, BB can implement more programs and continue the path of developing successful businesses.
